Maneuverable Strategies in X m2
16th Dec 2017 19.00 - 22.00 workshop with FPC members
** Exhibition Extended : 19th Dec 2017 (Tue) - 31st Dec 2017
Maneuverable Strategies in X m2 is the title of Sara Kramer and Vibe Overgaard’s work, exhibited at Floating Projects on December 16, 2017 at 7 pm. Collaborating with Hong Kong based dancer Kayi Cheung, they have choreographed and filmed a number of performative acts staged in the city of Hong Kong. The performances are emphasizing the limits of space and time in the metropolis, where the body moves in a grid of loosely defined possibilities and constraints. At the exhibition opening the video-work will be shown as part of a larger installation at Floating Projects.
The exhibition concludes Overgaard and Kramer’s intensive three-week collaboration with the Floating Projects collective in Hong Kong. Overgaard and Kramer have come to Hong Kong with an interest in artist-run spaces; to learn from Floating Projects as an example. The dialogue and exchange with the Floating Projects collective has been centered around the idea of organization - What role does the artist-run space play in the artist’s way of organizing themselves and what are possible strategies to deal with the need of x number of m2.
