Vernacular Geomedia Poetics from the Southwest Cliff 西南山壑的方言地理媒介詩學
張子木策劃放映：三個有關中國西南地區地質生態的活動影像作品。PhD researcher ZHANG Zimu put together a collection of 3 short-medium length videos to shed light on the reconfiguration of local/translocal geology and ecology via moving-image creation. These works were all shot in the Chinese Southwestern regions with local dialects.

Many unfinished texts (writings and videos) to cover… Michael Leung’s residency at Floating Projects will take two more weeks to round up until 14 April 2021.

街坊排檔 Kai Fong Pai Dong, a neighbourhood street market stall in Yau Ma Tei, emerged around November 2019 during the 17th Hong Kong Social Movement Film Festival. It was a place where once a helicopter hovered over a post-film discussion, members of the community told stories to each other, mutual help enacted via public-space farming… It is an assemblage of site-specific emancipatory politics.

Aarey Forest is a rich urban forest which is within the eco sensitive zone of Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP). It is classified as mixed moist deciduous type forest. Leung’s video was shot in May 2018, at the time local people were experiencing deforestation by a new metro line and metro carriage depot.

眼前的一切像多年的堆積，與之共存的是看不見的已被拆毀的家族過去的小節的餘韻。說到家族，也不是家國大族的堂煌，而是一張具體的網，連接、輸送、維繫，有個物理的據點。據點藝術家劉清華的「田野」訪談，拖出了「生存」的問題。如何活？我們如何從過去走到當下？過去的可以延伸下去，因為我們記得，而且還（用方法）記住。A community art project opens the door to a street of rich family stories in To Kwa Wan (Kowloon) for FP artist Jess Lau, thus also an old family story she has not dared to touch until now. Unlike tycoon stories of a growing empire, ordinary family stories are full of “holes” irreparable yet holding together those who refuse to forget.

In these COVID-19 days, “underlying conditions” undermine those with chronic diseases in fighting the virus. Rather than a sheer physiological condition, Michael Leung quotes Rene Gabri: what are considered pre-existing conditions are “those imposed on people by capitalism and the state, making some more vulnerable than others (during the pandemic).” What are the possibilities of being immune not just a personal matter but a collective act?「本有」狀況？「既有」狀態？還是「固有」狀態？梁志剛在英回顧法國行程的經驗，體悟藝術家 Rene Gabri 的申述：既有狀態其實是資本主義和國家政府加諸我們身上的，其結果是有些人總比另一些人「脆弱」，例如在疫情高漲的時候。如是，「既有」的，因政策管治的上綱下達，便成了「固有」的境況。往下想，「免疫」或「免疫系統」的出現，是否可以超越「個人」層面而成為「協作」的、社區群體的？

What is “inter-disciplinary thinking”? Michael Leung crosses the threshold: what about econolandscapes and cultural virology (Rob Wallace), plant thinking (Michael Marder), multispecies perspectives (Anna Tsing) and so on, to culminate in what is called “pandemic-thinking”?…「跨界思考」不算新鮮，卻遠遠未達日常生活的廣泛應用。梁志剛超前一步，引述近年回應「人類紀」危機而出現的學者的論述，如植物思維、多／跨物種思維、經濟景觀、文化的流行擴散…等，構成大流行的思維。
